Newborn Photography in Guelph, Ontario

I’ve always believed that lifestyle-type newborn photos do more justice to your family memories than the traditional posed style. I want to capture moments of snuggling, rocking, giggling, and loving interactions. As a newborn photographer in Guelph, ON, I strive to create timeless memories of your little one's earliest days.
During sessions, I always ask myself, “What will they want to remember looking back at these photos in 10 years?”. The answer is usually the newborn scrunch, the tiny toes, the finger holding, snuggling, and any other adorable moments that are unique to the newborn stage.

I have 4 locations that I offer photo sessions at. Wildfield Studio in Guelph, Park Hill Studio in Cambridge, The Guelph University Arboretum, and Guelph Lake Conservation Area. For newborn photoshoots, a studio is always the safest option. We don’t have to worry about weather conditions or outdoor elements. But during the summer, late spring, and early fall, an outdoor session for your newborn photoshoot can be really beautiful!
When it comes to wardrobe, I have a selection of dresses for mom, outfits for your newborn, and swaddles/blankets. You can select which outfits you’d like me to bring during the questionnaire phase after booking your session. I also bring a couple toys, blocks, or other props with me as well.
Let’s talk details!
“I provide swaddles, blankets, and wardrobe options for your baby.”
When do I book for?
Your newborn can be anywhere between the age of 3 days to 90 days old for the newborn photoshoot. My personal recommendation as a newborn photographer, is 10-14 days old, because I find it’s the perfect balance of allowing mom time to recover, but still having the size and scrunch of a newborn. However, the decision is totally up to you! The younger the newborn, the more sleepy and flexible they are during the shoot. The older the newborn (usually in the 50-90 day age range) the more likely we will get a smile and giggle. It’s all about what moments you want to capture, and your personal preference!
The newborn phase will pass faster than you can possibly prepare for. Let’s capture it while we can!
Why is newborn photography important?
It’s a time capsule for you and your little one!
Have you ever felt the rush of memories flooding back to you the moment you look at a photograph? As soon as we look at a photo, it takes us back to the exact moment it was taken. It brings back the memories we forget in the rush of life.
This is what makes newborn photography so special! The newborn phase flies by so quickly that hardly anyone gets to grasp it. By the time you get used to all your mom duties, your baby is already walking.
Through my newborn photoshoot, I can help you freeze these beautiful and delicate moments and keep them safe. The time you spent with your tiny baby will never fade away! Even when years have passed, just a glimpse of these photos will freshen up your memory like it just happened yesterday.
