My newborn sessions are styled as natural, lifestyle-type photos with your newborn, rather than the traditional posed style. I want to capture moments of snuggling, rocking, giggling, and loving interactions.

During sessions, I always ask myself, “What will they want to remember looking back at these photos in 10 years?”. The answer is usually the newborn scrunch, the tiny toes, the finger holding, snuggling, and any other adorable moments that are unique to the newborn stage.

For location, we have a few options. First, we can do the photoshoot in your home. Most clients use the nursery and whichever room gets the most window light (usually the living room). Another option I love, is a studio session. My two favourite studios are Park Hill Studio in Cambridge and Mint Room Studio in Toronto. Both have incredible lighting which makes for stunning photos. Lastly, we can have our photo shoot outdoors (weather dependent of course).

Let’s talk wardrobe and props! I provide swaddles, blankets, and wardrobe options for your baby. I also have a small collection of props including a bassinet, letter blocks, and some toys. After booking your session, we can coordinate your outfit with your outfit selections for your baby.

When do I book for?

Your newborn can be anywhere between the age of 3 days to 90 days old for the newborn session. My personal recommendation is 10-14 days old, because I find it’s the perfect balance of allowing mom time to recover, but still having the size and scrunch of a newborn. However, the decision is totally up to you! The younger the newborn, the more sleepy and flexible they are during the shoot. The older the newborn (usually in the 50-90 day age range) the more likely we will get a smile and giggle. It’s all about what moments you want to capture, and your personal preference!

The newborn phase will pass faster than you can possibly prepare for. Let’s capture it while we can!

Newborn Photo Session

$495 +HST

  • Approximately 1-2 hours

  • Unlimited photos (I will edit and deliver every photo that isn’t a blink, double, or unflattering). Typically 40-60 photos can be captured in this time.

  • Wardrobe options available.

  • Full online gallery is delivered within 2 weeks of your session, and includes a shareable link. The gallery is available online for 2 months from your delivery.

  • Printing options directly available through the gallery link.
